Terms of Service

These Terms govern Monila, a citrus community where you glow in to browse orchard drops, publish citrus photos, keep Boards, follow growers, and spend Zests in the Store. By using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The grove

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Monila on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial enjoyment of the citrus community. You may not copy, reverse engineer, rent, or resell the App except as allowed by law or Apple’s rules.

The Monila name, juice-glow visual style, and in-app copy remain our property or that of our licensors. Photos and text you create remain yours; you grant us a license to display them inside the App on your device so Home, Boards, and profiles can work.

2. Your local grove

Home and Profile open without signing in. Your grove data is stored on your device. Use Uproot Account in Settings to permanently erase your local citrus community data (posts, Boards, Zests, profile, likes, follows, blocks). That action cannot be undone.

3. Zests (in-app purchases)

Zests are a consumable virtual currency used inside Monila. They have no cash value, are not redeemable for real money, and cannot be transferred to another Apple ID as cash.

The App may grant a one-time welcome amount of Zests to new growers. Some features, such as Generate Image on New Drop, spend Zests. The amount required is shown in the App at the time you use that feature. Publishing a drop does not spend extra Zests beyond what that feature lists.

The Store sells consumable Zest packs. Apple charges the price on the payment sheet in your local currency. Pack names, Zest amounts, and prices shown in the Store may change and are controlled by the App Store sheet.

Purchases are billed by Apple. Refunds, if any, follow Apple’s App Store terms. Consumable Zests are typically used when credited; they are not a subscription and usually cannot be restored like non-consumable items. If a successful charge did not add Zests, email clarahoffner24@outlook.com with the purchase date.

4. Acceptable use

Keep the grove kind and citrus-true:

• Post only citrus-related photos, recipes, reviews, and orchard notes you have the right to share.

• Do not post illegal, hateful, pornographic, harassing, or infringing content.

• Do not spam comments, scrape the App, or attempt to manipulate Zests or purchases.

• Use Report and Block instead of attacking other growers.

• Do not use Generate Image to create unlawful or non-consensual imagery.

We may hide content, block accounts locally, or end access if you break these rules.

5. Community content

Posts, comments, and Boards may include sample orchard material shipped with the App plus anything you add. Other profiles you open are part of that catalog. You are responsible for the text and photos you publish. We are not obligated to pre-screen every drop.

Variety notes, sweetness scores, recipes, and AI-generated citrus photos are for inspiration only — not agricultural, medical, or dietary advice.

6. Disclaimers

Monila is provided “as is.” Image generation may fail, look imperfect, or take up to about a minute. We are not liable for lost Zests except where the law requires, or for photos you choose to save to your library.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data after you Uproot Account or delete the App.

7. Termination

You may stop using Monila at any time by closing or deleting the App. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms, abuse purchases, or if Apple requires it. Unused Zests have no value after termination.

8. Governing law

These Terms are interpreted as required by Apple App Store policies and the laws that apply to your use of the App. The operator of Monila is the publisher named on the App Store product page.
